She’s just a girl, an ordinary girl, who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time — or was it destined by Fate?
I’ve missed working on Weblinks. It’s hard when you’re torn between wanting to go back and fix things and continuing forward. Still, I know the reality: if a writer keeps going back and rewriting chapter 1, they will never finish the book. (True story) Well, my dilemma was also more than that. I also kept… Continue reading Weblinks — Bite 1, Page 1
I toned this page again from the original, but I kept the drawing. I thought about redoing her head turn, but decided against it.
Wow. Finding it unbelievably hard to rescale and mask areas for toning in Manga Studio 5. Okay, well, it’s not hard to do; it’s hard to export it correctly. However, I do believe the fault is mine, not the programs. I’m betting when I set this up in the earlier version of MS, which was… Continue reading Weblinks – Bite 1, Page 3
Okay, I did a little redrawing here where Caitlyn is collapsed against the wall. In the original, her shoulders were way too broad and she looked very masculine. Can’t say I’m happy with the way she looks here either, but there are several things about this page I’d change if I wanted to take the… Continue reading Weblinks – Bite 1, Page 4
When I originally released this, it was on this page that I really got a feel for who Kaden was. If you haven’t heard the story before, I started Weblinks because I’d had the idea of a vampire living in an old church for some time; I’d been driving around exploring a city I’d gone… Continue reading Weblinks – Bite 1, Page 5
In the original post of this page, there were sooooo many things wrong. My lesson learned? Always use good references. While there are still “issues” with this page, I decided to keep the ones I could live with. The one I had to change was of her sitting cross-legged on the chair. I’ve always had… Continue reading Weblinks – Bite 1, Page 6
I did redo the third panel. Once again, she’s ended up looking like a man. I love Caitlyn thinking, “I’ll come back when he’s in a better mood.” It’s so presumptive and forward of her. She doesn’t even realize that Kaden has kicked her out of his house. She’s so oblivious. Okay, well that might… Continue reading Weblinks — Bite 1, Page 7
Poor Kaden. He’s injured and knows what needs to be done. What he doesn’t know is that a Grooten is watching him from across the street. Time does indeed grow short.
Sorry, this didn’t post on the 21st like it was supposed to — it does help to hit the Publish button, I guess. 🙂 Can’t believe I missed that. Sorry again. I did add quite a bit more to this page — new lines to define things better, new text to further explain.
Kaden’s wound is getting worse. The Grooten is getting close.
